Founded in 2012 as a boutique literary agency, New Leaf has evolved into a collaborative, one-stop destination for storytellers and intellectual property development. We’ve had more than 120 books hit the New York Times bestseller list, and also several books adapted for film and television, including The DUFF, the Divergent series, Love in Taipei, The Spiderwick Chronicles, Love, Simon and Netflix’s Shadow and Bone.

Literary

The Literary Department is dedicated to discovering, developing, and championing bold storytelling across all categories and age groups. Our agents work closely with authors and illustrators to build meaningful, long-term careers through thoughtful editorial guidance, strategic publishing support, and collaborative representation tailored to each creator’s unique vision and goals.

Global Media Rights

The Global Media Rights Department leads strategy and sales across audio, foreign, film, television, merchandise, licensing, and emerging media rights. As storytelling continues to evolve across global and multimedia platforms, international publishing and adaptation opportunities have become an essential part of growing audiences and expanding the reach of a creator’s work.

Our team works closely with clients, co-agents, publishers, studios, and production partners to build thoughtful worldwide strategies that help stories grow across languages, formats, and platforms.

Business Affairs

Business Affairs supports the agency throughout the dealmaking and negotiation process, working closely with agents and departments to help guide contractual strategy and maximize opportunities for our authors, illustrators, and creators.

With experience across publishing, film and television, merchandising, licensing, and brand partnerships, the department provides insight and support on a wide range of transactional and business matters. Their collaborative approach helps ensure our clients are well-positioned to navigate an evolving entertainment and media landscape while building sustainable, long-term careers.
