Literary Associate to Joanna Volpe
Lindsay Howard is a Literary Associate at New Leaf and is primarily drawn to genre fiction–SFF, speculative fiction, dark/supernatural romance, and especially horror. She has a strong preference for books with authentic, complex female relationships and spooky, mystical elements. She loves autumn, tea, and collecting vinyl records—and is obsessed with her black cat, Winnie.
Lindsay is originally from the Boston area where she graduated from Emerson College with a degree in Writing, Literature, and Publishing and a minor in Marketing. She has six years of bookselling experience, and ended those years as a book buyer and Operations Manager at Books Are Magic in Brooklyn. These years of bookselling gave Lindsay a deep understanding of the book publishing industry from the consumer side, which became invaluable insight as she transitioned into agenting.
