Keifer has come a long way from writing elementary school plays where he blatantly pirated Star Wars plots. Now, as Subrights Assistant, he fiercely advocates for New Leaf’s authors and illustrators, licensing their spectacular stories to publishers all around the world.
In the other hours of the day, Keifer can be found nose-deep in a fantasy tome, performing stand-up comedy, rooting for the Brooklyn Nets, and spending time with his family, friends, and, most importantly, his family’s dogs, Lucy, Remy, and Willow.
Before New Leaf, Keifer graduated with a BA in Religion from Oberlin College and worked for Vigliano Associates and Random House Children’s Books.
