Sarah Nicole Lemon is an author of novels, essays and rants. She came to writing, as to everything: unconventionally. A ravenous reader, she spent her feral childhood in Appalachia devouring everything from Foxfire and The Encyclopedia of Country Living (favorite sections were “how to give birth alone” and “how to bury your dead”) to Tolkien and Dostoevsky. She left home at sixteen and has been charging through life ever since.
In addition to working in manufacturing and construction, and speaking at juvenile centers, she has written two young adult novels, DONE DIRT CHEAP and VALLEY GIRLS. Lemon lives, works, and writes in North Carolina.
