Donna is the Associate Director of Business Affairs at New Leaf Literary & Media. In addition to overseeing day-to-day operations of the department, Donna reviews, negotiates, and tracks a wide range of contracts for our clients. She finds work with contracts to be the exact happy place in the publishing process that allows her to take part in guiding a creative work from inception to publication while utilizing her legal skills and background.
Donna started her publishing career at Writers House as a contracts assistant and later a contracts associate, negotiating publishing contracts and handling copyright recapture. In past lives, Donna worked as a staff attorney at a non-profit legal organization in Brooklyn, NY and as a news assistant at her hometown newspaper. She enjoys traveling, attending car shows and races, and is always on the hunt for the perfect glazed donut.
