Veronica Schanoes’ first book of fiction, _Burning Girls and Other Stories_ is forthcoming from Tordotcom in March 2021. The title story won the 2013 Shirley Jackson Award for Best Novella and was a finalist for the Nebula and World Fantasy Awards. She is an Associate Professor of English at Queens College – CUNY where she writes and studies fairy tales. She lives in New York City.
