Emily Unwin

Emily Unwin (she/her) is a queer writer who splits her time between the American Southeast and the United Kingdom. In 2023, Emily was endorsed by Arts Council England to live and work in the UK under the Global Talent Visa, with Exceptional Promise in Literature. She is currently living in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Emily is the co-founder of Finley Light Factory and tacky! Magazine. Emily has published or is forthcoming in Litro, Heavy Feather Review, Gigantic Sequins (finalist for the 2021 flash fiction contest), Polyester Zine, Rogue Agent, Made in Appalachia (long-listed for the 2022 Perennial Press Chapbook Award), & Salty Magazine, among others. She completed a residency stay at Mudhouse in Agios Ioannis, Crete, in 2021.
