Beth Boyle Machlan

Beth Boyle Machlan teaches expository writing at NYU. She earned her Ph.D. in American fiction at Princeton in 2004, and her essays have appeared in the New York Times, The Awl, The Hairpin, The Rumpus, Guernica, Entropy, and River Teeth. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband, two children, three cats, and a dog.
