Emily Unwin

Emily Unwin (she/her) is a queer writer who splits her time between the American Southeast and Edinburgh. In 2023, Emily was endorsed by Arts Council England to live and work in the UK under the Global Talent Visa, with Exceptional Promise in Literature. She is the incoming course coordinator & project manager for Granta’s writers’ workshops.
Emily has published in The London MagazineLitroHeavy Feather Review, Gigantic Sequins (finalist for the 2021 flash fiction contest)Polyester Zine, & Made in Appalachia (long-listed for the 2022 Perennial Press Chapbook Award)among others. She was awarded The White Pube’s December 2023 Creative Grant for her short story collection.
