Kate Sullivan is the Director, Editorial Strategy at New Leaf Literary & Media. For almost 15 years, Kate worked as an editor at globally independent and Big Five publishers. In her time at publishing houses she acquired and edited many award winners and best sellers, and dedicated her volunteer time to contributing to the PRH National Equity & Inclusion Council and the Representation Matters Mentorship Program.

At New Leaf, she edits select manuscripts so authors can put their best foot forward on submission, offers her editorial services to our clients’ publishers to help stay punctual, and develops new storytelling ideas and directions with clients. She has worked with many of the agency clients in this capacity, including Dhonielle Clayton, Brigid Kemmerer, Daniel José Older, Rebecca Ross, and Veronica Roth. Furthermore, she advises New Leaf on publishing strategy, philosophy, and positioning. In her spare time, she is a beekeeper, cold water swimmer, horror & sci-fi aficionado, and runs a board gaming community.
