Kara Newhouse is a journalist and aspiring polymath (person of wide-ranging learning and passions). She studied anthropology at American University, after which she spent a few years teaching art and storytelling in Latin America, the Middle East, and India. As a journalist in Pennsylvania, she reported on K-12 schools and hosted a podcast about women in STEM. She now writes children’s books about trailblazing women in STEM and sports, along with other topics she wishes she’d learned about as a kid.
