He is a Truman Scholar and the author of the national bestseller bookMy Two Moms: Lessons of Love, Strength and What Makes a Family. He has been a featured guest on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, The Late Show with David Letterman, The Ellen Show, and Newshour. He currently lives in Iowa City, Iowa.
