Rita woods is a Internal Medicine physician and the Medical Director of a large medical center. Her debut novel, Remembrance, was the recipient of the 2021 Hurston/Wright Legacy Achievement Award. She resides with her family outside of Chicago where she serves as a member of the Board of Director of her local library. Her second novel. The Last Dreamwalker is out September 2022
