Kati Morton holds a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She is a certified Dialectical and Behavioral Therapist and grief counselor, as well as a member of The California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. She runs a private practice in Santa Monica, California.
Over the past 4 and a half years she has leveraged social media to share mental health information worldwide through video. Her specialties are working with eating disorders and self-harm, although she talks about all things related to mental health.
In addition to her YouTube channel, she has been on the HLN/CNN television show “Dr. Drew On Call,” has been showcased in Europe’s highest circulated magazine “Glamour UK,” and was a 2016 Shorty Award finalist.
Her YouTube channel has 127 thousand subscribers, over 10 million views and has grown over 250% in the last year. Her online community is spread across all major platforms, where she answers mental health questions from her global fan base.
Kati’s passion is spreading global awareness for mental health. She hopes that by doing this, we as a community can push for better services worldwide, and remove the stigma associated with getting help.
