Jo Ann Allen is the host and producer of Been There Done That, the show that tells the real life stories of the Baby Boom Generation. She recently hosted an episode of the podcast Death, Sex & Money with Anna Sale entitled “Getting Real About Getting Older,” and was interviewed on AARP’s Take on Today podcast about inspiring boomers to get into podcasting. She has extensive experience as an audio journalist, having begun her career at Wisconsin Public Radio in Madison. She’s worked at various commercial news organizations in New York City before spending 18 years as a news anchor/host at WNYC/New York Public Radio. Jo Ann has also worked as an anchor at KPBS Radio in San Diego and WHYY Radio in Philadelphia. She’s currently a news anchor, reporter and mentor at Colorado Public Radio in Denver. In addition, Jo Ann taught radio journalism as an adjunct professor at Long Island University in Brooklyn and served on the jury for the George Polk Awards for Investigative Journalism.
