Hilary Holladay is a scholar of modern and contemporary American poetry currently writing a biography of the poet Adrienne Rich. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia with an M.A. from the College of William and Mary and a Ph.D. in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The author of five books and co-editor of two essay collections, she has taught at the University of Massachusetts in Lowell, James Madison University, and the University of Virginia.
