David Farley writes about food, travel, and culture. He is the author of the Underground Worlds (Black Dog & Leventhal) and An Irreverent Curiosity: In Search of the Church’s Strangest Relic in Italy’s Oddest Town (Penguin/Avery), which was made into a documentary by National Geographic. He also writes for the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, AFAR, the Guardian, and Bon Appetit, among other publications. He has taught writing at NYU and Columbia University. He has resided in Paris, Prague, Rome, and Berlin and currently lives in New York City.
