Daphne Higbee spent her childhood as an Air Force brat, moving around the United States with her parents and four brothers. Her family centered around storytelling, from bedtime readings and visits to the local libraries to oral histories of her immigrant heritage.
In fourth grade, Daphne’s class voted her story best-written and best-illustrated. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a BA in English Literature and worked in public libraries during and after college where she relished every chance to share her passion with young readers. When not writing, Daphne relishes the adventures of triathlon, gastronomy, and home life.
