Caryn Caldwell writes middle grade and young adult novels full of humor, mayhem, and adventure — the kind she always loved to read as a kid and teen. She has been crafting stories since childhood (when she regularly rescued her Barbies from imagined peril), through her teen years (when she wrote depressing poetry for fun), and into adulthood (when she discovered that writing books was more enjoyable than housework). Her books are repped by the fabulous Suzie Townsend of New Leaf Literary.
Caryn lives in the Utah desert with her husband, daughter, cat, a pair of guinea pigs, and an ever-expanding collection of books. During the summers she tries to avoid the heat; the rest of the year she teaches library skills to an enthusiastic flock of elementary students. As long as she can still get some reading and writing in each day, all is well.
